Allergic reactions is not common but it is possible to be allergic to the metal that has been selected to be inserted into your body. To avoid this, do a research on the different types of metal available to you and the one that benefits you hygienically.
A blood clot is all so uncommon but still is possible be careful if you have and blood abnormalities.Some parts of the body is harder to heal than some, check with your doctor to know your risks.
You are also prone to STDs and other blood born illnesses, make sure tour technician is wearing a glove during your procedure. Any procedure involving body fluids, requires a pair of glove.
